I liked the idea that this episode explored Castle's heritage a bit. He and his mother say they are from con artist and circus folk, which was funny. But Alexis trying to make up for his lack of having a father was touching and sweet.As usually Nathan Fillion delivered his lines expertly and did Stana Katic. They have a great working chemistry. I loved it when Castle got excited and expressed that he would rub lotion all over her. Knowing what Beckett's response would be.
Not as exciting as past episodes, but still sweet.
